Service as a Market-Factor

External Service Management Increases System Availability
Service is gaining increased importance as a product with market relevance. Particularly in view of the current overall economic development, it makes sense to expand the service sector, as emphasized by SEW-Eurodrive in the run up to this year's Hanover Industry Trade Fair. "If new acquisitions are being delayed, existing ones must be used and expanded as efficiently as possible", says Uwe Stadtmüller, Key Account Process Industry Service at SEW-Eurodrive. "As a result, a key topic at the Hanover trade fair will be the expansion of service and additional support, which is currently taking place along with other program innovations under the new SEW motto 'Drive 360° - Get the full view'".
SEW-Eurodrive's 360° view represents the readiness "to do one thing without leaving or excluding another". In this context, the focus is on the requirements of the customers. After all, they decide which products succeed in the market. With "Drive 360°", application and system solutions are an integral part of the whole product portfolio at SEW-Eurodrive.
The range of services is expanded following the development of the market. Today, the process industry is characterized by high availability due to numerous applications and the resulting complex drive systems. "For internal maintenance engineers, it is difficult to cover the whole spectrum. A service specialist has exactly this know-how, which can be called upon when needed, therefore saving up to 50 percent on service costs", states Stadtmüller.
